HISTORY ABOUT MINISTI

Ministi was founded in 1983 by Stig Sparre Ulrich, Niels Arnt Torp (Niller) and Michael Christensen.

Established post facilities at “Schiller-Huset” in Copenhagen, including multi track machines, speak box, editing suites, etc.

Purchased our first digital workstation, a Waveframe. In 1993 we bought our first Avid Audiovision, and soon after, another one.

Moved from Nannasgade to Rentemestervej, where we established seven sound editing suites, one large foley stage and a sync suite.

Michael left Ministi, rendering Niels and Stig sole owners. Same year, we in cooperation with Nordik Film established the mix stage on the Nordisk Film lot.

All Audiovision workstations are replaced by Pro Tools.

Claus Lynge and Martin Saabye are welcomed as co-owners. In connection with the privatization of Det Danske Filmstudie in Lyngby, Ministi acquires the sound department, including 4 sound edit suites and a mix stage.

Stig Sparre Ulrich decided to leave the company.

Ministi moved away from Rentemestervej and built new studios in Copenhagens meat packing district.

in January, Niels Arnt Torp suddenly passed away. Ministi is now run by Martin Saabye and Claus Lynge, currently working with a select team of Denmarks best sound engineers on a freelance basis. This gives the flexibility to provide our clients with the best possible solution for a production of any size.
